How we handle personal data.
01. Who we are
IT Vikings is an information security solutions provider registered in Cairo, Egypt, operating from 1A, St. 200, Degla, Maadi, Cairo. For the purposes of this policy, IT Vikings is the data controller for personal data collected through this website and through our commercial and recruitment activities.
02. What we collect
We collect only what we need to respond to you and to deliver our services.
03. How we use it
Personal data is used to respond to enquiries, to deliver and support contracted services, to assess job applications, and to send information you have specifically requested. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
04. Lawful basis
We process contact and enquiry data on the basis of your consent or our legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry. We process client engagement data on the basis of contract performance. Recruitment data is processed on the basis of steps taken at your request prior to entering an employment contract. Web-server records are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping this site secure and available.
05. Confidentiality of client data
In the course of delivering security services we may access technical data belonging to our clients, including configuration, log and incident data. This information is handled under the confidentiality terms of the relevant engagement, restricted to personnel who require it, and is never used for any purpose beyond that engagement.
06. Hosting and international transfers
This website is hosted by Network Solutions, a hosting provider based in the United States, which stores the web-server records described above on our behalf. Those records may therefore be processed outside Egypt and the European Economic Area. We do not share them with anyone else, and we use them only for the purpose stated in this policy.
07. Retention
Enquiry data is retained for twenty-four months from last contact. Web-server records are deleted after fourteen days. Recruitment data is retained for twelve months unless you ask us to keep it longer for future opportunities. Client engagement records are retained for the period required by the contract and by applicable law.
08. Your rights
You may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to its processing. Requests should be sent to the address at the foot of this page and will be answered within thirty days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the data protection authority where you live — in Egypt, the Personal Data Protection Centre.
09. Security
We apply the controls we recommend to our clients: encryption in transit and at rest, multifactor authentication on all administrative access, least-privilege access control, logging and monitoring, and periodic review. No system is perfectly secure, but our own estate is held to the standard we advise.
10. Cookies
This website does not set cookies. It uses no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and loads no third-party script that could set one.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date at the top of this page, and where the change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will contact you directly.
