IT Vikings — Securing Your Business
INTERNET

Safe on the way out, protected on the way in

Two directions, two controls: a secure web gateway for the traffic your people generate, and a web application firewall for the traffic your customers send you.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

Delivered as one service

Take the whole stack or the single control you are missing. Either way it is assessed, designed, deployed and — if you want — operated by the same team.

01

Web Security & Secure Web Gateway

SWG

Category and risk-based control of outbound browsing with inspection of encrypted sessions, whether the user is in the office or at home.

URL filtering, SSL inspection and malware scanning
Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) integration for granular shadow-IT governance, activity risk scoring, and data-loss prevention (DLP)
Identical policy on and off the corporate network
Bandwidth control for streaming and recreational traffic
02

Web Application Firewall

WAF

Next-Gen Web Application and API Protection (WAAP) shielding web apps and REST/GraphQL APIs from automated bot abuse, zero-days, and injection attacks without application code changes.

OWASP Top-10 and API-specific rule sets
Behavioral bot mitigation, credential stuffing defense, and API schema validation to protect backend endpoints from automated harvesting
Virtual patching while developers ship the real fix
DDoS mitigation at the application layer

What this looks like as a project

YOU PROVIDE

Public application inventory, certificate ownership, egress requirements and traffic baselines.

YOU RECEIVE

Gateway and WAF policy in blocking mode, documented exceptions and tuned alerting into the SOC.

BEFORE YOU ASK

The questions we get every time

Can the WAF go straight into blocking mode?
No, and any vendor who says yes has not run one. We learn traffic first, then enforce rule group by rule group with evidence.
How do you handle encrypted traffic inspection?
Selectively, with a documented exclusion list for privacy and pinned-certificate services. It is a policy decision, not a switch.
What about remote users?
Enforcement follows the user via the cloud gateway, so the policy is the same on and off the corporate network.

Not sure which controls you actually need?

Start with a consultation. We map your internet security posture against real threat models and hand back a prioritised roadmap — no obligation.
